ATV X-treme Challenge Rules

The competition will be on a Double Elimination Bracket System

Rules:

ATV X-TREME CHALLENGE RULES

•  All drivers are required to wear DOT Approved Helmets, Full Body Protection, including Eye Protection. Absolutely NO exposed Skin is allowed.

•  All drivers under 18 must have Parental Signatures on Waiver of Liability and a Parent or Legal Guardian must be at the race when their son/daughter is racing or participating in TNT.

•  All drivers are required to do one lap during TNT. No driver is allowed to compete without first running their ATV on the track.

•  Drivers are required to be in staging and at the line when they are scheduled. A driver will have 2 minutes as determined by the Flagman to be at the line. It is the responsibility of the driver to know which lane they are supposed to start in, NOT the Flagman's job!

•  A driver that fails to race, is considered to have lost that specific race.

•  Even if a driver does not have someone to race against, because the other driver failed to appear at the line, that driver must pass the lane marker cones. Then that driver can either SAFELY exit the track or run the entire track.

•  A driver must remain on the track at all times. If they go off the track, they must safely re-enter the track at the nearest point they left the track and NOT in front of his/her competitor.

•  Each driver must stay in their respective lane until passing the Lane Cones. At that time the driver then can choose where they want to run on the track.

•  A driver must stay within the parameters of the Stop Box. They must past the first line in the Stop Box, stay in the lane they choose, and completely come to a stop without hitting the tennis ball on top of the far side of the Stop Box. That driver CANNOT leave the Stop Box until signaled to leave by the Flagman. This is not only done for Safety reasons, but for the Officials to make sure they have the correct driver finishing first or second.

•  The brackets are set up to provide each driver with a minimum of 2 races, NOT Double Elimination.

•  The Race Steward, Pit Steward, Flagman has the right to disqualify a driver for unsportmanlike conduct, or conduct that is not safe for other drivers, workers, pit people, or fans. A driver that is disqualified from the competition WILL NOT GET A REFUND on entry and/or any fees.

•  It is up to the driver to connect the winch or tow strap to the recovery machine and the Winch Man. This IS NOT THE JOB of the safety workers or the Winch Man. The driver takes the responsibility for any damage done to his/her ATV by getting towed out. It is up to the driver to have places on the ATV to secure the Tow Rope or Winch Cable.

•  Other then Tires, a Stock ATV is exactly that…STOCK. No aftermarket accessories, including Snorkels are allowed in the Stock Classes. Any driver caught having aftermarket accessories and signing up for the STOCK Classes will be disqualified and WILL NOT GET A REFUND on entry and/or any fees. The race organization will then have the right to disqualify that driver from any future ATV X-TREME Challenges..

•  A driver may be required to affix sponsorship stickers to the ATV competing, for the driver to receive any awards/prizes/ from the race organization or sponsor. If the driver does not want to affix any sponsorship decals to the ATV, then that driver will not be given any sponsorship awards/prizes, or purse, and it will be up to the race sponsoring organization to determine if the driver then will be allowed to race.

•  No driver is allowed to go faster then 5MPH in the pits. Any driver caught going to fast in the Pits can be disqualified from a race. Like all disqualifications, a driver will NOT GET A REFUND on entry and/or any fees.

•  Drivers that are up next are required to be in Staging. Just like at the Start Line, it is up to the drivers to know when they are to be in staging. It is NOT the responsibility of the Pit Steward to make sure a driver is in staging.

•  NO DRIVER is allowed to interfere with the work being done by the Officials, Flagman, Pit Steward, Race Steward, or Security personal. Questions should be asked during a ‘break' in the action.

•  Only those that signed a Waiver of Liability are allowed in the Pits and on the track. Absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS

•  When a Red Flag is pulled by a Safety Worker or Flagman, that driver MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY. It does not matter where the driver is on the course when the Red Flag is pulled. The Driver must stop his machine, and TURN THE MACHINE OFF.

•  When a Safety Worker signals the SAFE course/route/line to take around a down driver, the driver MUST TAKE THAT course/route/line around the down driver. If the driver does not take the SAFE course/route/line around the down driver, it will be determined by the Flagman as to whether or not to just give the driver a loss in that race, or to totally disqualify the driver from all competition that day and/or possibly in the future. SAFETY of ALL drivers will NOT be compromised.

•  Any driver is allowed to take the “Alternate” Course around a water/mud hole, but that driver cannot intentionally cross the path of another driver in which it causes the other driver to put him/herself or the other driver in danger. If a driver chooses to take the Alternate Course they must take that course at a time that is safe for his/her self and machine and that of the other racer. The driver that chooses the mud/water course GETS FIRST PRIORITY!

•  All drivers must go through Safety Tech done by the Pit Steward before they are allowed to run the TNT.

•  ATV's with winches must have the end of the winch cable securely attached. The hook must be tight, no excess cable on the winch will be allowed during a race.

•  It is the responsibility of the driver to immediately signal to Safety Workers and Emergency people if he/she is OK. If the driver does not signal that they are OK, the Safety Worker/Flagman can issue a Red Flag. Then that driver will not be allowed to finish competition in that class, and only after going through the emergency personal and the driver agreeing to waive any injuries would the driver be allowed to compete in other classes.

•  A driver will be informed as to when the ‘draw' will take place for the brackets and are allowed to be present at that draw. Those drivers that register the day of the race will be put in whatever available brackets the class has. To insure that you will be competing, PRE-REGISTER. If the class brackets have an uneven number of drivers, the race organization can decide to not run a ‘bye,' or the race organization can run a ‘bye' where the driver may only have the chance to run one race (that is if they run one race and lose). Once again, PRE-REGISTER.

•  The races are run where the smaller cc, 2WD classes will go first. The races will be run where each class will run right up till the 2 drivers that qualified for the Feature are determined. Then the next class will run. The end of the races will have all the FEATURES run, starting with the smaller CC 2WD Classes to the TOP DOG Class.

•  A driver is allowed to go up in a class, smaller CC Engines can enter bigger CC Classes. 2WD units are allowed to run in 4WD classes. No 4 WD ATV's are allowed to run in 2WD classes.

•  By entering the ATV X-TREME Challenge the driver allows the Race organization to use his/her name, pictures of his/her machine before/during/and after a race for promotional purposes with no fees/awards/prizes given to the driver.

•  All drivers are required to be at the Drivers meeting before TNT.

•  A driver is responsible for the actions of his/her pit crew before/during/after a race. Actions taken by his/her pit crew can result in disqualification of a race, the race, or future races with NO REFUNDS on class and/or entry fees.

•  A driver that ‘jumps' the start will be allowed one penalty infraction. The penalty will be determined before the race. However if the driver jumps a second time, then that driver will take a loss in that specific race. If a driver jumps a third time, he/she is disqualified from the class.

•  Drivers and pit people are required to pay admission to the event, just like anyone else. Drivers must understand that gate admission is what gives the race organization the funds to build the track and to host the event.

•  All drivers will be required to have a Bib/ATV number. Where that number will be worn or affixed is to be determined before the event. Contact the Race Organization for details on this rule.

•  The ATV must completely go past the first line/cone in the stop box, then stop before the cone with the Tennis ball, within the lane the driver chooses to go into the Stop Box. If a driver is outside of the lane in the stop box, fails to go past the first cone/line in the stop box, or knocks over the tennis ball on top of the far side cone, that driver is considered to have taken a loss in that race. Now if BOTH drivers are not successful in stopping in the Stop Box, then they will re-run the race, however they will change starting lanes at the start of the re-run race. The Head Official will determine as to when that race will be re-run.

•  All ATV's are required to have an Emergency Shut off switch, and the race organization may require that operating and functioning tethers be required. It is the drivers responsibility to find out BEFORE registering if Tethers will be required.

•  ALL Racers under the age of 21 are required to have taken an approved Safety Training Course as dictated by the state of their residency.

•  The Race Organization, and or Race Steward has the right to have additional rules or waive certain rules already stated, provided the race organization or Race Steward informs the drivers BEFORE they register and/or at the Drivers meeting.

•  All Officials Calls are FINAL

•  All Racers must read, understand, and agree to abide by the rules given.
